Terms of use

Last updated 26 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Layertech3dit (“we”, “us”), who run RingUp. By creating an account or using RingUp you agree to them. We’ve kept them as plain as we can.

1. What RingUp is

RingUp is an online till and invoicing app. It lets you list what you sell, ring up sales, create invoices, send them to customers, track which are paid and see your sales totals.

RingUp does not process card or money payments for your customers. You take payment yourself (for example cash, your own EFTPOS or card reader, or bank transfer). RingUp is not tax, legal or accounting advice. You’re responsible for the prices, tax rates and details you enter, and for meeting your own tax and record-keeping obligations. Check with your accountant if you’re unsure.

2. Your account

  • You need to be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your password and owner PIN private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • If you invite staff, you're responsible for their use of RingUp and for removing their access when they leave.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone has got into your account without permission.

3. Free trial, price and billing

  • New businesses get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed to start it.
  • After the trial, RingUp costs A$19 per month. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month and is charged to the card you give our payment provider, Stripe, until you cancel.
  • If you subscribe during your trial, your first payment is taken when the trial ends.
  • You can cancel any time from the Billing page. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • We don't give refunds for part months, except where the law requires it.
  • If a payment fails we'll let you know in the app. If it isn't sorted out, new sales and sending invoices pause until it is.
  • We may change the price. We'll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it does.

4. If your trial or subscription ends

Ringing up new sales and sending invoices pause, but nothing is deleted straight away. You can still log in, look at your invoices and export them, and pick up again by subscribing. If an account stays inactive for a long time we may delete it, but we’ll email you at least 30 days before we do.

5. Your information

What you put into RingUp (your items, invoices, logo and your customers’ details) stays yours. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only so we can run RingUp for you, including sending the invoices you ask us to send. Our Privacy policy explains how we look after it.

You’re responsible for having your customers’ permission to store their contact details and send them invoices. Keep your own copies of anything you need to keep by law (the ATO generally expects business records to be kept for five years). You can export your invoices at any time.

6. Fair use

Please don’t use RingUp to:

  • break the law, or create false or misleading invoices;
  • send spam or messages people haven't agreed to receive;
  • upload anything offensive, harmful, or that you don't have the rights to;
  • try to get into other people's accounts, test or break our security, or overload the service;
  • copy, resell or rebuild RingUp itself.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first.

7. Keeping RingUp running

We work hard to keep RingUp available and your data safe, but like any online service it may sometimes be down, slow, or have bugs, including for maintenance. RingUp needs an internet connection. We may improve or change features over time; if we remove something important we’ll give you reasonable notice.

8. Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows:

  • RingUp is provided as it is, without promises beyond those in these terms;
  • we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits, sales or data, caused by using or not being able to use RingUp;
  • our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, or to supplying the service again.

9. Closing your account

You can stop using RingUp at any time. Cancel your subscription on the Billing page, and email us at layertech3dit@gmail.com if you’d also like your account and data deleted. Export anything you want to keep first, as deletion can’t be undone.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we’ll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using RingUp after that, the new terms apply.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If any part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
